Creating a vCard contact QR code

Create a vCard QR code that saves your name, phone, email, company and address to a phone's contacts in one scan, with no typing mistakes. Only the name is required.

A vCard QR code turns your contact details into an instant digital contact card that any smartphone can save in one scan, eliminating manual typing errors.

What you can include

Only your name is required; all other fields are optional:

  • Full name and company name
  • Job title and department
  • Phone numbers (mobile, work, direct)
  • Email addresses
  • Website and social links
  • Physical office address
  • Custom note or brief bio

Creating one

  1. 1Click Create and select QR Code.
  2. 2Choose vCard Contact from the type options.
  3. 3Fill in your details, leaving any unnecessary fields blank.
  4. 4Click Create QR Code.

What happens upon scanning

The phone downloads a standard .vcf file. On iOS, the native Contacts app opens immediately with your information pre-filled and a "Save" action ready. On Android, the system prompts the user to save the contact to their default address book.

Updating your details later

Because this is a dynamic QR code, editing your contact information in the ScanOrbit dashboard updates all future scans immediately. If your phone number or title changes, your existing printed business cards stay valid.

vCard codes work exceptionally well on business cards, email signatures, conference badges, and presentation slides.
