Logo in the middle (optional)
Stays on your device. Square logos look best.
Standee colour
Everything happens in your browser. We don't see or store your UPI ID, and the code works with every UPI app for as long as your UPI ID does.
Enter your UPI ID and your code appears here.
Want to know who paid?
A UPI Payment Form code asks for a name or invoice number before the UPI app opens, so every payment arrives with a reference.
See the Payment Form QRHow to make it
- Step 1
Enter your UPI ID
The address that looks like name@bank. If you only have an account number and IFSC, switch to Account + IFSC.
- Step 2
Add your name and, if you want, an amount
The name appears in the payer's app so they know they're paying the right person. A fixed amount suits a set price; leave it blank for bills that change.
- Step 3
Download or print
Download the QR code as a PNG, or the A5 Scan & Pay standee to print. Test it with a ₹1 payment from another phone first.
How a UPI QR code works
A UPI QR code holds a short payment link with your UPI ID, your name and, if you set one, an amount. When a customer scans it, their UPI app reads those details and opens the payment screen already filled in. They check the name, enter their PIN, and the money goes straight to your bank account.
Nothing passes through ScanOrbit. The code is made in your browser, the payment runs entirely on UPI, and the code keeps working for as long as your UPI ID is active. There is no subscription to keep it alive.
Where to find your UPI ID
Open the UPI app you receive money in (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or your bank's app) and tap your profile picture. Your UPI ID is listed there, usually as something like yourname@okaxis, 98xxxxxx@ybl or yourname@paytm. If you have more than one, pick the one linked to the bank account you want the money in.
Fixed amount or blank?
- Fixed amount: set prices, entry tickets, fees, a specific invoice. The payer can't type the wrong number.
- Blank: shops, restaurants, anywhere the bill changes. The payer types the amount you tell them.
- One code per price works well for stalls with a few set items: print one standee per price.
Personal or business UPI ID?
Both work in this tool. If you take a lot of payments, a business (merchant) UPI ID is the better choice: with a personal UPI ID, some apps may show the payer a warning or limit how much can be paid by scanning. You can get a business UPI ID free from apps such as PhonePe Business, Paytm for Business or Google Pay for Business, or from your bank.
Stay safe with UPI QR codes
- You never scan a QR code or enter your UPI PIN to receive money. Anyone asking you to do that is trying to take money, not send it.
- Check that the money arrived in your bank app or SMS, not on a screenshot the customer shows you. Screenshots are easy to fake.
- Look at your printed code now and then. A common trick is sticking a different QR code over a shop's real one.
Frequently asked questions
Is this UPI QR code generator really free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark on the QR code and no expiry. The code is made in your browser and the payment goes directly through UPI, so there's nothing for us to charge for.
Which apps can scan it?
Every UPI app: Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, CRED and the UPI apps of individual banks. The code uses the standard UPI payment format, not anything specific to one app.
Will the QR code ever stop working?
Not because of us. Everything needed to pay you is inside the code itself, so it works as long as your UPI ID is active and linked to a bank account.
Do you store my UPI ID?
No. The code is generated in your browser and nothing you type is sent to our servers.
Can I see who paid me?
Your bank or UPI app shows each payment's sender. If you need a name, table or invoice number attached to every payment, use a UPI Payment Form QR code, which asks for those details before opening the payer's UPI app.
Can I track how many people scanned it?
Not with a plain UPI code. Payment apps read the details straight from the code without visiting any web page, so there is nothing to count. That's also why the code can never be switched off.
What size should I print it?
For a counter, an A5 or A6 standee is ideal. Keep the QR code itself at least 3 cm wide for scanning from about 30 cm, and bigger if people scan from further away.
