Start with the documents people need most at the machine
Operating manuals, lockout procedures, and safety data sheets are the usual first set. Give each machine or station its own code so you can see later which ones are used.
Use labels made for the environment
Choose laminated, polyester, or metal labels for oily, wet, or hot areas, keep each code at least about 3 cm wide, and place it where it can be scanned without reaching into the machine.
Check coverage before you rely on it
A dynamic code needs a mobile connection or WiFi to open the document. Test from each area of the plant; in dead spots, a static code with essential text, or a printed backup, is safer.
