Wi-Fi QR Code for Airbnb & Holiday Rentals
"What's the Wi-Fi password?" is the first message most hosts get after check-in. Put a scan-to-connect sign by the door and guests are online before they've put their bags down, without a message to you.

Made in your browser. Your network name and password are never sent to us.
Enter your network name and password and your sign appears here.
More than the Wi-Fi?
A landing page QR can hold the Wi-Fi, house rules, check-out steps and local tips in one scan, and you can edit it between guests without reprinting.
See the Landing Page QRHow to make it
- Step 1
Enter the guest network and password
Use the network guests should join, ideally a guest network separate from the one your cameras or smart lock use.
- Step 2
Add the property name and a note
The note is a good place for check-out time or how to reach you.
- Step 3
Print two copies
One by the router or entrance, one in the welcome folder or on the fridge.
- Step 4
Update between seasons
If you change the password, make a new sign and swap it at the next turnover.
Why hosts use a Wi-Fi sign
- Fewer messages: the Wi-Fi question stops arriving at midnight.
- Fewer typos: long router passwords like "Xk7#mP2q" are easy to get wrong on a phone keyboard.
- Better reviews: Wi-Fi that just works is one of the things guests mention when it doesn't.
- Works for every guest: the password is printed too, for laptops and tablets without a camera.
Where to put it in the property
By the entrance or on the wall near the router is the first place guests look. A second copy in the welcome book or on the fridge helps larger groups. In multi-room homestays, a small sign in each room saves guests walking back to the hall. Frame it or laminate it; a printed A5 in a cheap acrylic stand looks deliberate rather than taped up.
Security for hosts
Give guests a guest network if your router supports one, and keep smart locks, cameras and your own devices on the main network. Change the guest password every few months, or after a guest you'd rather not have back, and print a new sign; it takes a minute here.
More than the Wi-Fi
Many hosts also want the house rules, check-out steps, parking instructions and their favourite local places in one place. A Landing Page QR code holds all of that, and you can edit it between guests without reprinting. It's on ScanOrbit Pro, with a 14-day free trial.
Frequently asked questions
Do guests need an app to scan the Wi-Fi code?
No. The camera app on iPhones, and the camera or Google Lens on Android, reads it and offers to join the network.
Should I print the password on the sign?
For a rental, yes: guests with laptops, tablets and older phones need to type it. If you'd rather not, untick the option and only the network name is shown.
What size should I print it?
A5 is a good size by the door or on a wall. For a bedside table or welcome folder, print at A6 (half of A5) by scaling it in the print dialog; the code stays scannable.
Can I put it in my Airbnb listing or guidebook?
You can download the QR code on its own as a PNG and add it to a digital guidebook or welcome message. Keep the password out of public listing photos.
Is it free?
Yes, the Wi-Fi sign is free with no sign-up. The Landing Page QR for a full digital welcome book is a Pro feature.
