The Best Uniqode Alternatives in 2026
Uniqode (formerly Beaconstac) is a capable, enterprise-leaning QR platform. The most common reasons people look elsewhere are its annual-only billing, the lack of a free dynamic plan, and what happens to printed codes if the subscription ends. Here are the alternatives worth a look, with the facts from each company's own site.
We make ScanOrbit, so we've put it first. Every fact about other products comes from that company's own website, linked, as of October 2026. Prices change; check before you buy.
Why people look for a Uniqode alternative
Annual billing only
Uniqode's FAQ says it currently only offers annual subscription plans, so even the $9 Essential plan is paid a year at a time.

Uniqode's free plan is for static codes only; dynamic codes come with a 14-day trial.

Switching from Uniqode
- A printed code always points at the company that made it. No one can take it over, so keep your old account active until replacement codes are printed, or ask that provider whether they can redirect it.
- List your live codes and where they point, then recreate them in ScanOrbit. Website links take a minute each, and bulk CSV import (Pro) creates many at once.
- Replace codes on anything reprinted soon first; for items already out in the world, a sticker with the new code over the old one is the quickest fix.
- Keep both running for a few weeks and compare scans, then close the old account.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free alternative to Uniqode?
Yes. ScanOrbit's free plan includes 3 dynamic codes with no time limit; QR TIGER's free plan has 3 dynamic codes limited to 500 scans each; Flowcode's free plan has 2 codes. Uniqode's own free plan covers static codes only.
Which Uniqode alternative bills monthly?
ScanOrbit Pro ($9/month), QR TIGER Regular ($7/month) and Scanova (Lite, Standard and Pro have monthly prices) can all be paid month to month. Uniqode is annual only.
Will my Uniqode codes keep working if I switch?
Only while your Uniqode account stays active: Uniqode says codes become inactive when a subscription is cancelled. Replace printed codes before closing the account.
Does ScanOrbit have GPS location like Uniqode?
No. ScanOrbit shows country, US state and city from the scanner's network, without asking for location permission. If GPS-precise location matters, Uniqode (Core and above) offers it.
