UPI QR Code for Your Shop
A printed Scan & Pay sign is the cheapest payment terminal there is: no machine, no rental, no charges on each payment. Make yours here with your shop name on it, ready to print at any photocopy shop.
Logo in the middle (optional)
Stays on your device. Square logos look best.
Standee colour
Everything happens in your browser. We don't see or store your UPI ID, and the code works with every UPI app for as long as your UPI ID does.
Enter your UPI ID and your code appears here.
Want to know who paid?
A UPI Payment Form code asks for a name or invoice number before the UPI app opens, so every payment arrives with a reference.
See the Payment Form QRHow to make it
- Step 1
Enter your shop's UPI ID
Use a business UPI ID if you have one; a personal one works too.
- Step 2
Type your shop name exactly as customers know it
It's printed at the top of the standee and shown in the payer's app.
- Step 3
Pick a colour and add your logo
Optional, but it makes your sign look like yours.
- Step 4
Print the A5 standee
Print in colour on thick paper or card, laminate it, and put it in a stand by the till.
Where to put it
- On the counter, facing the customer, at chest height if you can: people scan more easily when they don't have to bend.
- A second copy on the wall behind you for busy times, large enough to scan from a metre away (at least 10 cm wide).
- On delivery bags or the bill, so home-delivery customers can pay at the door.
Printing it
The standee downloads as an A5 image at 300 dpi, sharp enough for any printer. Take it to a print shop on a phone or pen drive and ask for A5 on 250–300 gsm card, laminated. For a sturdier stand, an acrylic A5 holder costs little and keeps the sign clean.
Business or personal UPI ID for a shop?
A business UPI ID from PhonePe Business, Paytm for Business, Google Pay for Business or your bank is the better choice for a shop: customers see a business name, and you avoid limits some apps may apply to personal IDs. Many of these apps also announce payments on a speaker, so you don't have to check your phone for each one.
Stay safe with UPI QR codes
- You never scan a QR code or enter your UPI PIN to receive money. Anyone asking you to do that is trying to take money, not send it.
- Check that the money arrived in your bank app or SMS, not on a screenshot the customer shows you. Screenshots are easy to fake.
- Look at your printed code now and then. A common trick is sticking a different QR code over a shop's real one.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a business account to take UPI payments in my shop?
No, a personal UPI ID works. A business UPI ID is better if you take many payments, because customers see a business name and some apps may limit payments to personal IDs.
Are there charges on UPI payments to my shop?
Normal UPI payments from a customer's bank account to yours have no charge. Charges can apply to some wallet or credit-card-on-UPI payments, depending on your provider; check with your UPI app or bank.
What size should the QR code be?
On the A5 standee the code is about 9–10 cm wide, which scans easily from across a counter. A wall sign should be at least 10 cm wide to scan from a metre away.
Should I print the amount on it?
Not for a shop where every bill is different. Leave the amount blank so customers type what they owe. For set-price items, you can print separate standees with fixed amounts.
Can I get a printed standee from you?
We don't print or ship. The standee downloads as an A5 image that any print shop can print in a few minutes.
