How to Make a QR Code with a Logo

Quick answer

Upload your logo in the QR editor; it's placed in the center and the code uses high error correction so it still scans. Keep the logo small (roughly a fifth of the width), keep the code dark on light, and test before printing.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Create your code

Any type: website, Wi-Fi, vCard and so on.

  2. 2

    Upload the logo in Design

A square PNG or SVG with a transparent or white background works best.

  3. 3

    Keep contrast high

Dark code, light background; don't color the code in a pale brand tint.

  4. 4

    Test with two phones

    At the size you'll print.

Common mistakes

  • A logo covering too much of the code, or the corner squares.
  • Light-colored codes or busy photo backgrounds.
  • Printing smaller than about 1 inch (2.5 cm) with a logo.

Frequently asked questions

Does a logo stop the code scanning?

Not if it's kept to the center at a moderate size: QR codes include error correction that lets them be read with part of the pattern covered.

Is a logo free?

Yes, your own logo in the code is on the free plan.
