App Store QR with iOS/Android smart redirect

One QR code for your app: iPhone users go to the App Store and Android users to Google Play automatically. How to set up the App Store QR type on Pro.

Rather than printing separate codes for iOS and Android, the App Store QR code automatically detects the scanner's operating system and routes them directly to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Setting it up

App Store is a Pro-plan QR type. To configure:

  1. 1Click Create and select QR Code.
  2. 2Choose App Store from the type grid.
  3. 3Enter your iOS App Store URL and/or your Google Play Store URL (you can provide one or both).
  4. 4Add your application name and icon for the desktop fallback landing page.
  5. 5Click Create QR Code.

Smart routing logic

The redirect engine inspects the incoming User-Agent string to determine the device:

  • iOS devices: redirected directly to your Apple App Store listing
  • Android devices: redirected directly to your Google Play Store listing
  • Desktop or other devices: shown a clean landing page with direct download links for both platforms
If your app is currently only available on iOS or Android, enter that single URL. Scanners on the opposite platform will see a friendly fallback page.
