QR Codes for Church Giving and Donations
Fewer people carry cash or checks, but nearly everyone carries a phone. A giving QR code on the bulletin, the screen and the pew cards opens your online giving page in one scan, and the scan numbers show which moments in the service prompt people to give.
Free plan: 3 dynamic codes, no time limit. Pro types free for 14 days, no card.

Example data
What the code can do
One printed code, pointing wherever you choose. Change the destination later and every printed copy follows.
Straight to your giving page
Tithe.ly, Pushpay, Planning Center, Givelify, PayPal: link the page you already use. Payments go through your provider; we never handle money.
Website QR codeAll the ways to give
A page with buttons for online giving, recurring gifts, building fund and missions, plus text-to-give instructions.
Landing page QR code (Pro)Connect card
A short form for first-time visitors: name, email, how they heard, prayer requests.
Lead capture form (Pro)Events and sermon notes
Add this week's events to the calendar, or open sermon notes as a PDF.
Event QR code (Pro)Analytics
What the scans tell you
Every scan of a dynamic code is counted, with link previews and bots filtered out, so the numbers are people.
Which placement brings giving scans
Separate codes for the bulletin, the screen and the pew cards show which one people actually use.
Which service
Scans by hour and day show whether the 9am or 11am service, or the livestream slide, drives giving.
After the offering moment
Watch scans around the time the giving slide is shown, and adjust how long it stays up.
Visitor follow-up
Connect-card submissions arrive in your dashboard, ready for your welcome team.
Reported for every code: scans over time, unique vs total, country, US state and city, iPhone vs Android, operating system, hour of day and day of week, with CSV export and a weekly email report.
Printing it so it scans
- On screens, show the code large (a quarter of the slide height) and leave it up for at least a minute; people need time to open the camera.
- On bulletins and pew cards, at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide with "Scan to give" next to it.
- Use a dynamic code, so a change of giving provider never means reprinting pew cards.
- Print one proof and scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone where it will hang, in that light, before printing the rest.
Set it up
- Step 1
Copy your giving page link
From your giving provider: the page members already use.
- Step 2
Create one code per placement
Screen, bulletin, pew card, lobby sign. Same link, separate counts.
- Step 3
Add "Scan to give"
And keep the code on screen long enough to scan.
- Step 4
Review after a month
Keep what people use; move or enlarge what they don't.
Frequently asked questions
Does ScanOrbit process donations?
No. The code opens your existing giving page (Tithe.ly, Pushpay, PayPal and so on); the gift goes through that provider as usual.
Is it free?
A website-link code is free, and the free plan includes 3 dynamic codes with no time limit. Landing pages, forms and events are Pro, free for 14 days on the trial.
Can we see who gave?
No. ScanOrbit counts scans (when, where, which device), not who scanned or what they gave. Your giving provider reports the gifts.
Can I use the same code on the livestream?
Yes, but a separate code for the livestream lets you see how many online viewers give.
