QR Codes for Construction Sites

On a job site the binder of current documents is always in the other trailer. QR codes on the gate, the equipment and the work areas open the latest safety rules, data sheets, plans and manuals, and a sign-in form records who's on site.

Free plan: 3 dynamic codes, no time limit. Pro types free for 14 days, no card.

Analytics

What the scans tell you

Every scan of a dynamic code is counted, with link previews and bots filtered out, so the numbers are people.

Sign-ins per day

How many people signed in, and when.

Which documents get opened

Scans per safety doc and manual.

Across sites

One folder per project, compared side by side.

Equipment checks

Manual scans per machine.

Reported for every code: scans over time, unique vs total, country, US state and city, iPhone vs Android, operating system, hour of day and day of week, with CSV export and a weekly email report.

Printing it so it scans

  • Outdoor-rated, UV and weather-resistant labels or rigid signs.
  • At least 4 inches (10 cm) on gate signs; 2 inches on equipment, away from grease and wear.
  • Print one proof and scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone where it will be used before printing the rest.

Not a substitute for required postings

OSHA and local rules require certain information to be posted or available in specific ways. Use QR codes to make documents easier to reach, not to replace required postings or training.
